- Does the council provide free plants giveaways?
- Unfortunately, this is not something currently offered by Litchfield Council, however, it is something that is being looked into. If you, or someone you know would like to help the Council with this initiative, please contact us today.
- When is the next rubbish collection day?
- LC doesn’t have public rubbish collection services.
- Who collects the rubbish in the area?
- There are several companies, but we can’t recommend one. We just let them know it may be cheaper to go with the same company in the neighbourhood to save fees.
- What community recycling programs are available?
- Hemi would be the best contact for this. We have phone and battery recycling in the foyer, and proceeds go to the Cash for Cans reserve to fund grants.
- Are there free composting workshops available?
- HDCG can help and have workshops throughout the year. I would liaise with Yvonne Peckover, the president.
- How do I apply for a community garden space?

- Is there financial assistance for solar panels or water tanks? NTG has grants for this, or direct to council grants for non profit groups
- How do I report illegal dumping or littering? Snap & send, email or call council for CRM, or direct to NTEPA
