What do regulatory Services Do?
- Response – Regulate Dogs kept within the Litchfield municipality under the Litchfield Council (Dog Management) By-Laws 2017.
- Response – Manage Abandoned Vehicles in the Litchfield municipality on Litchfield Council managed roads (not the main roads managed by NTG – Stuart Hwy, Arnhem Hwy etc).

How much is Dog Registration and when is it due?
- Response – The dog registration year is 01 September to 31 August annually, with Pro-Rata rates for new dog registrations from 01 March to 30 June annually.
- Response – Dog Registration fees vary depending on if the dog is entire or desexed and if you have a current pension concession, desexed dog also can be registered for Lifetime.

How much is it to get my dog out of the pound?
- Response – If the dog is registered and has not been in the pound in the previous 12 months – No Charge for release.
- Response – If the dog is registered and has been impounded in the previous 12 months, second impound release fee is $196.50, third and successive impounds is $245.50.
- Response – If the dog is not registered, release fee is $245.50 plus registration fee.

Do you hire animal traps and is there any cost?
- Response – Yes, Dog and Cat Traps
- Response – Bond $115.50 refundable on return of working trap, Weekly hire fee $27, Monthly hire fee $81
- Response – Delivery can be arranged by Rangers for a fee of $27 drop off, and $27 pick up.
